What is the nightly rate? The nightly rate is $169. Unlike vacation rental platforms, we do not tack on additional fees such as cleaning fees and service fees. We deliberately opted to be a direct booking vacation rental so the price you see is the price you pay (plus tax, of course). We hope you enjoy the savings! Be sure to check out our weekday stay specials! Rates subject to change without notice.
What time is check-in/check-out? Check-in is between 3pm - 8pm. If you plan to arrive after 8pm please notify in advance. Check-out is 11am.

How many people can the cabin sleep? The cabin can sleep a maximum of TWO ADULT guests. A cot, rollaway bed or air mattress cannot be set up. No visitors without a reservation can accompany you on property. All guests must be 18 with a parent, 21 to rent. We appreciate your cooperation.
Why do guests have to be adults? We created an adult-only getaway in Missouri that provides a delightful space for grown-ups to relax, rejuvenate, and do the things you always mean to get to. Whether that's reading a book, writing your book, journaling, practicing your yoga, shooting photography, bird watching, sitting and doing nothing (!), hiking, kayaking or biking. Doing so in nature provides extra benefits! Make time for you. Recreate. Hibernate. Return home refreshed.
Is there a minimum night stay? There is a 2-night minimum if you select a Friday or Saturday night and a 1-night minimum Sunday - Thursday nights.
Where are you located? We are located in the heart of Arcadia Valley (Ironton, Pilot Knob, Arcadia) in Southeast Missouri. We’re approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from St. Louis, 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cape Girardeau, 35 minutes from Farmington, 1 hour and 30 minutes from Poplar Bluff, 2 hours from Rolla, 3 hours from Columbia and 5 hours from Kansas City. For more exact distance from your home, we can be found on Google maps.
What is there to do? Wilderland Glamping Cabins is in the center of nature’s playground. We’re very close to several attractions including Johnson's Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks State Park, Taum Sauk Mountain, Crane Lake, several Ozark Trail trailheads, the Black River, Shepherd Mountain Bike Park and more! Check out The Area page for a longer list of attractions, including travel time, from your cabin.
What if I don’t want to leave the property? We think that’s a nice idea, too! When outfitting the glamping cabins, we were very conscious to create a comfortable atmosphere so you can take advantage of being in nature while still being super comfortable. See the full list of glamping cabin amenities here.
Do I have to share a bathroom with strangers? Nope! Each glamping cabin has a private bathroom complete with hot shower and toilet. See the full list of glamping cabin amenities here.
Are the cabins climate controlled? You bet! Each cabin has very cold Air Conditioning and very warm heat. The system is even remote controlled so you can adjust the temp from bed.
Is there a TV in my cabin? TV's were left out by design. We do include a Bluetooth speaker in each cabin. Download your favorite chillin-around-a-campfire playlist and a few episodes of your favorite podcast before you leave home.

Is there WiFi? We don't have public wi-fi. We do have internet service to run our business. However, and unfortunately, it is not hi-speed. We encourage our guest to embrace the freedom that comes with a “digital detox”. Guests have found the separation from their devices refreshing!

Can I drive to my cabin? No. All paths leading to the cabins are for foot traffic only. No vehicles are allowed beyond the designated parking area. Utility wagons are provided to make transporting your luggage easy and convenient. We can provide a ride in our UTV if assistance is needed. Please call ahead to arrange this service.
Will I get cell service? That depends on your carrier....and how full the trees are..... So the answer is sketchy. We do have a phone at our home in case of emergency. Feel free to give the number to family members or sitters. 573-432-0068
Will I see or hear other humans? Just how secluded are the cabins? The cabins are situated like a little village, each with its own private space, and facing all different directions. We enjoy privacy during a getaway and think others do, too, so that was the motivation behind our layout. Please be respectful of your fellow glampers and keep voices and music at a considerate volume. We do live on the property and it's likely we will see you around the parking area. We can have as much or as little interaction as you wish. The cabin is a short walk from the parking area. You might hear another human, vehicles or UTV's. We do have neighbors within sound proximity, but not sight. You will be encompassed by nature!
What months are you open? Our season runs from April 1 - November 30 every year. We are available via social media, email and phone year around. You can make a reservation anytime.
What exactly is glamping? Glamping is glamorous camping or camping in a beautiful cabin with amenities and comforts (such as beds, electricity, and access to indoor plumbing) not usually used when camping. Enjoy the campfire and stargazing and then cozy up in the cabin for a good night's rest.
How often is towel service? Towels will be replaced after your fourth consecutive night in a cabin. We try to operate as eco-friendly as possible.
How many cabins are there? We have two full frills cabins for rent. Our goal is to always ensure a truly exclusive getaway!
Can I burn a candle? Out of respect for the next guest, and for safety, candles, incense or fireworks are not allowed.
Did I hear a "Moo"? Probably! Wilderland Glamping Cabins borders a beautiful cattle pasture. The cattle rotate around on our neighbor's property. Sometimes they are right at the fence. Other times you can't see, but may hear or smell, them. You might also hear roosters, chickens, turkeys, dogs, owls, coyotes, and other farm and forest animals.
